In Ephesians 1, Paul unfolds the most compelling vision for the church ever conceived: As Jesus’ Body, we are called to fill everything every way with Jesus. How in the world is that supposed to happen? Let’s be honest, as church leaders, many weeks we’re still struggling to fill volunteer slots in the nursery, let alone fill every nook and cranny of our city with the power and presence of Jesus.
How do we get beyond just filling volunteer slots to mobilizing people God’s way? The answer lies in Ephesians 2:10.
Shift 2 is based on Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
