“This has been one of the most impactful years in Exponential’s history, and we are so excited to share it with you. We invite you to take a few moments to review our year-end report and see what God has done through your generosity, partnership, and prayers. We truly are a community with a cause, and we are deeply grateful for the role you play in this mission.”
We are dedicated to igniting a transformative movement of healthy, reproducing faith communities across the United States. Our goal is to inspire and equip at least 60,000 multiplying churches which represents 16% of the churches in the country. We believe reaching this number is the tipping point for a widespread church planting movement. Our 16% Mission aligns with the fulfillment of the Great Commission, as we strive to ensure that every person has the opportunity to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Each year, we curate forward-thinking NEXT Annual Topics keeping Exponential at the forefront of cultural and leadership advancements. With ongoing fresh content we are engaging leaders to be ready now for what is NEXT. We platform learnings from leading practitioners with weekly articles, the Exponential NEXT podcast, cohorts, webinars, and workshops.
We launched The Atlas featuring seven expressions of church that we are seeing throughout the USA. This Atlas helps us see the Church isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s a mosaic of people and places shaped by the same Jesus but expressed in beautifully different ways. The Atlas invites people to discover the distinct ways He uses each individual’s unique design to reach and disciple others.
We continue to invest in the next generation of church leaders through pre-conferences, workshops, articles, Think Tanks, and more.
This year we celebrate our 6th year of NEXT Ventures where we provide grants in exchange for a front row seat to innovative ministries that are helping shape the future of the church. Key highlights include:
In 2025 NEXT Research released a comprehensive research report on measuring our 16% mission along with the Microchurch Multiplication Survey Report. In addition we released our Women and the Church Survey Report along with our 2nd annual AI and the Church Survey Report.

Our 2025 theme, Good.. Great.. Greater, is all about chucking out the ‘same old, same old’ and daring to pursue the greater things! It’s time we woke up to the possibilities and pursued a greater Kingdom dream for multiplication. First in our lives and families, and then in our churches!
We sold out Exponential Global by the end of July 2024! Over 3,200 people come in large groups—with 15 groups of over 100 registrations each. We are thrilled to serve our network and denominations at our Global party! The trust of this community fuels our pursuit of the 16% Mission. They can do it, we can help.
In response to our capacity issues, we are expanding our digital presence as well as preparing additional venues for “overflow” tickets for Global 2026. Ultimately, the goal is to have more people engage in the 16% Mission of Exponential.
This past fall, we hosted our second annual National Conferences: EX West in the San Francisco Bay area and EX Central in the Chicagoland area. Both events mirrored the experience of EX Global, featuring pre-conferences, workshops, Bible studies, and more.
At EX West, we hosted close to 800 church planting leaders, which is pretty much unheard of in the Bay area. We partnered with Transforming the Bay for Christ, Bay Area Church Planting Network, Stratum Foundation, and other networks to build an incredible experience. This helped to platform the incredible collaboration happening in the Bay area. With our current partnerships and new relationships being built, I feel we will have great momentum to fill the house in 2026!
We have accomplished our goal of over 1,000 registrants for EX Central! There is incredible momentum in the Chicagoland area for church multiplication and collaboration. For EX Central, we also worked with our local partners Chicagoland Collective, The Chicago Partnership along with networks and denominations to plan an amazing experience for all who attend.
Multiplier Learning Community Cohorts (LCs): Fourteen cohorts in this current season, including a new Emerging Leader cohort. Over 500 combined leaders participated in 2025 through two LC seasons. Sixteen denominations and networks are leveraging LCs as a core strategy to accomplish their vision.
Church Planting Leadership Fellowship (CPLF): Convened 272 total national leaders across the three events that represent 75%+ of church planting in North America. Topics covered included church planter health, spiritual formation systems, Hispanic church planting, and hybrid models. A “web of care” initiative is developing to provide accessible soulcare for church planters across denominations.
Multipliers Journey (MJ): Now a core strategy for denominations like The Wesleyan Church, MJ is a toolbox for customized multiplication strategic planning. As Danielle Freed of the Wesleyan Church said, it’s “the solution to the problem we’ve been looking for.” Certified 25 leaders to guide this journey for local churches.
Roundtables: Our one-day events in North Georgia, Denver, and Cincinnati have sparked vital local collaboration, with more planned for other regions like Cleveland, Western Michigan, and Southern CA.
Reproducing Networks: With the leaders in our reproducing network training, we are seeing real movement to help start, sustain, and scale small groups of churches to be friends on mission to catalyze church planting.
The path to multiplication is clearer than ever. We are committed to equipping leaders who have a multiplication dream with the practical tools and relational environments needed to turn God-given vision into a multiplying reality.
Around the world, God is stirring fresh movement. This year, Exponential took a bold step in its response. In March, Exponential and NewThing came together, merging our strengths into one global family with a shared passion: helping leaders pursue multiplication at all levels.
Today, Exponential expressions in Europe and Australia are walking closely with national and regional leaders who are hungry to move beyond addition. We are working contextually at the country level—listening first, then co-creating simple, transferable frameworks that serve leaders in their unique culture, call, and context.
Over this past year, we’ve done the challenging but crucial work of aligning vision, language, and strategy across our global team. That alignment is helping us ask one shared question in every nation where we serve: What would it take to see 16% of churches become healthy, reproducing, multiplying churches here?
Looking ahead, we see our current expressions in Europe and Australia as launchpads for future countries and new forms of Exponential—expanding into more nations across Europe, into Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and beyond. Our heart is to come alongside local leaders, not to duplicate a model, but to serve their call and context at the country level.
Thank you for praying, investing, and walking with us. Together, we believe God is writing the next chapter of Exponential’s global story.

The team at Exponential is passionate about growing God’s Kingdom exponentially. Our team is full of people that God gave unique talents, and a motivation to achieve “The 16% Mission”.
