U.S. Church Planting Churches

Has Your Church Planted Churches that
Plant Churches That…?

(You've got the idea.)

Exponential is assembling a list of reproducing churches who have a multi-generational impact for Outreach magazine. Read more about reproducing churches here. A multi-generational church is a church who has planted a “daughter” church (2nd generation) which subsequently plants a “granddaughter” church (3rd generation) and so on.

By “planted” we mean a church was directly and substantively been involved in starting (reproducing) the next generation new church. An important point to note is these new churches are autonomous churches (not including multi-site locations) and this list for church planting efforts in the U.S.

You might think of it as a family tree that might look something like this:

At Exponential, we want to champion and resource multi-generational churches.

Unfortunately, most churches do not plant new churches. And, when they do, it’s rare a church plant goes on to plant another church. We believe that multi-generational church planting is key to get to a disciple-making based movement of the Gospel in the West. We want to celebrate all multi-generational churches!

If you’re a church who has reproduced with multiple generations of churches, please complete the form below. By taking a few minutes to add your information, we will be able to learn and fan into flame more multi-generational church planting.

FAQ

We like your questions. Here’s some helpful answers…

Multi-generational churches refer to those that have planted “daughter” churches, which in turn plant “granddaughter” churches, and so on. In essence, a multi-generational church has a direct and substantial role in initiating the next generation of new, autonomous churches. This concept can be likened to a family tree that continues to grow with each generation.

Our aim at Exponential is to recognize, support, and provide resources to multi-generational churches. We believe that multi-generational church planting is crucial for fostering a disciple-making-based movement of the Gospel in the West. By creating this list, we hope to celebrate all multi-generational churches and inspire more churches to adopt this approach.

If your church has reproduced at least one church that has in turn reproduced another church, please complete the form provided. By taking a few minutes to add your information, you can help us learn more about multi-generational church planting and inspire more of it.

If you have any questions about this initiative or need more information about the survey form, feel free to reach out to Bill Couchenour at bill@exponential.org. He’ll be more than happy to assist you.

By “planted,” we mean a church that has been directly and substantially involved in starting (reproducing) the next generation new church. It’s important to note that these new churches are autonomous, not just additional locations of the original church.

While we’re focusing on multi-generational church planting, every effort to plant new churches is commendable. However, for this list, we’re specifically looking for churches that have planted a church, which has in turn planted another church, forming a multi-generational impact.

Absolutely! If you know of other multi-generational churches, please forward this page to them. The more we can learn about and promote multi-generational church planting, the better.

For this initiative, multi-site locations are not considered new, autonomous churches. We’re focusing on churches that have directly contributed to the creation of completely new, independent churches.

The information collected will be used to learn more about multi-generational church planting and promote it further. We believe recognizing these churches can inspire and encourage more churches to follow this model, fostering a disciple-making-based movement of the Gospel in the West.

We believe that multi-generational church planting is key to encouraging a disciple-making-based movement of the Gospel. It allows for the spread of faith across communities and generations, creating a lasting impact.

Exponential is spearheading this initiative to celebrate and resource multi-generational churches. We are committed to championing church multiplication and nurturing a disciple-making-based movement of the Gospel in the West.
