Chad Clarkson, director of the Houston Church Planting Network, talks about the necessity and challenges of collaborating with other churches to reach your geography. He explains that “collaboration makes the mission of the Church more effective” because you can do some things together that you can’t do yourself.
Clarkson poses several questions to clarify what you believe about collaboration and what God thinks about collaboration, getting to the heart of the problem: the Church needs relational and cooperational unity to be most effective. Finally, he gives two guiding factors to focus on as you begin collaborating with other churches. Clarkson says that focusing on task and relationships are like the two wings of an airplane that are essential in your journey.
