The Emerging Leader Cohort is designed for younger leaders who are not satisfied with the status quo. It is for map makers who are ready to embrace a multiplication mindset in their disciple-making and ministry.
This is your chance to step into a movement committed to developing healthy leaders who don’t just add followers but multiply disciples, leaders, and churches. You’ll explore what it looks like to shift from addition thinking to multiplication thinking, cultivating environments where growth and reproduction happen naturally.

This Learning Community connects you with a diverse group of peers from different backgrounds, creating a rich space for collaborative learning. In September and December, you’ll gather in-person in two different cities alongside experienced Multipliers and fellow emerging leaders. These intimate, living room–style sessions are designed for meaningful conversations and actionable insights you can immediately implement in your ministry. There will also be 2 online gatherings between the 2 in-person gatherings,

Dr. Larry Walkemeyer serves as the Strategic Catalyst for Multiplication for Free Methodist USA encouraging the multiplication of disciples, leaders and churches nationally and is on the Executive Leadership Team of the Free Methodist USA.
He is also Global Pastor for Light & Life Church, Long Beach, CA., a multiplying, multi-ethnic, urban church he and Deb led for the past 30 years. During their tenure the church grew dynamically, and planted churches both nationally and globally.
As Director of Equipping and Spiritual Engagement for Exponential (the world’s largest church planting resource group), Larry seeks to influence the church of Jesus toward multiplication. Holding a doctorate in church leadership and as the author/co-author of ten books, Larry speaks and consults frequently across the USA.
Azusa Pacific University, from which Larry holds a Doctorate of Ministry, has recognized Larry with the Centennial Award, naming him one of the most influential graduates in its history. Larry serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for Azusa Pacific University.
Larry and Dr. Deb Walkemeyer have been married since 1978. They write and speak frequently on marriage, ministry, and leadership. They have two amazing adult daughters. Larry enjoys biking, working out, snow skiing, waterskiing, boating and traveling.
Ben Connelly is a pastor, author, & equipper. He is honored to serve everyday disciples, ministry leaders, and church planters across the world through The Equipping Group, and to help lead Salt+Light Community and Plant Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX. Ben has written/contributed to several books, workbooks, articles, and publications, has overseen church planting efforts for multiple organizations, and has also taught university and seminary classes. He and Jess have three children and at times, host short-term foster kids too.
Dave Ferguson is the lead pastor of Community Christian Church, a multi-expression missional community that is passionate about “helping people find their way back to God.” Community has grown from a few college friends to reaching thousands of people in Chicagoland and around the world. Dave also provides visionary leadership for the international church-planting movement NewThing and is the President of Exponential. He is an award-winning author of books that include The Big Idea, Exponential, On The Verge, Finding Your Way Back To God, Starting Over, Hero Maker and most recently B.L.E.S.S. 5 Everyday Ways to Love Your Neighbor and Change the World. Dave and his best friend Sue have three terrific adult kids – Amy, Josh and Caleb.
