Blurring the Lines of a Physical/Digital/Meta Church

March 30, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

THIS WEEK’S EPISODE

At the heart of metachurch, or hopefully any type of church, is the idea of moving people from content to community. Our virtual services, our live streams, and even our physical church services do have a purpose in making a disciple, but that purpose is multiplied as our content moves people into community. It’s in community that we see discipleship happen; even in metaverse community.

Enter Aussie Dave into the conversation. Dave Adamson, one of the earliest online pastors here in the US, has been navigating the physical/digital tension for years, and through his ministry at churches like Liquid Church in New Jersey or North Point Church in Atlanta, Dave has seen the growth of online content and the decentralization of our physical buildings to digital platforms. He’s seen the expanse of digital ministry globally, and greatly understands the need for a foundation of digital discipleship in any church in order to effectively expand its ministry in physical, digital, or metaverse spaces.

In fact, Dave is talking about his new book, MetaChurch:How to Use Digital Ministry to Reach People and Make Disciples, which details the mindset of how digital ministry works and how it lays the foundation of churches heading into Metaverse ministry. Is your church ready for a Meta Mindset? Check out Metaverse Church NEXT, Wednesdays 12:30 p.m. Eastern on the Exponential Hub.
