Actually, Neo battling the Matrix is probably a more recent example. For decades, we have lived in fear of these machines, essentially of artificial intelligence. Now that AI is upon us, birthed in the mythical metaverse, should we live in fear?
Meet Christopher Benek. Besides being the lead pastor at First Miami Presbyterian Church (the oldest organized church in Miami, Florida), Christopher is one of the top experts in the country on AI and the Church. So let’s and ask him the hard questions! What is the theology surrounding artificial intelligence? What role does AI play in today’s church? in the church of the future? How can we use artificial intelligence for Kingdom purposes? Where is the ethical line where we should not cross? This only scratches the surface when it comes to the opportunities and threats of artificial intelligence for the Church.
