After three years of rapid growth, in 2006, the Pinelake elders and senior leadership team felt God leading the church to expand through launching additional campuses in Mississippi, and over the next 10 years, four more campuses were added: in the Madison area (2006), in Clinton, Mississippi (2009), in the Starkville area (2011), and in Oxford (2015). Today, more than 11,000 people attend weekly worship across Pinelake’s five campuses.
Pinelake is a movement of God, and they have yet to see the end of God’s action plan for the church. Pinelake remains a church committed to seeing Mississippi changed, “one life-change story at a time.” With their mission to help people learn from Christ, live in Christ, and lead others to Christ.
A growing number of church leaders are longing for something more than just adding attendees to our services, programs to our churches, and begging week in and week out for volunteers. They long to see disciple-making-based kingdom multiplication. They long to become reproducing churches.
Exponential began wondering what it would look like to build a community of reproducing churches that cared more about WHO they were catapulting and sending forward than WHAT they were accumulating and leaving behind. That led to an inaugural list in 2019 of Outreach Magazine’s (as Outreach 100) list of 100 Reproducing Churches. And that community continues to grow.
