I love when a plan comes together.
It was about five years ago when we started talking about launching a weekly series of eBooks around our annual theme. Our goal was to regularly equip every church planter with free resources from national leaders who were passionate about sharing their insights and experience with planters. We also wanted to extend the conference from three days to eight months (back then, we only had one gathering in Orlando). I guess you could say we were dreaming big.
Since then, Exponential has continued to come alongside church leaders with an expanding library of resources—everything from eBooks, articles, videos and podcasts to assessment tools and online courses (still free of charge). In fact, I couldn’t be more excited about the alignment of our growing library of resources centered on our 2017 theme: Dream Big: Pathways to Multiplication. Our anchor book, Dream Big, Plan Smart, has birthed two recently released supplementary resources: Dream Big Questions and Dream Big Workbook from vision clarity specialist Will Mancini.
We also have new books coming from national leaders focusing on the core multiplication pathways. Level 5 multiplier Ralph Moore and The Send Network’s Jeff Christopherson are collaborating to write about the pathway new churches can take to Level 5. And Larry Walkemeyer and Tim Hawks will be sharing from their experiences to identify the shifts needed to move from Level 4 to 4+. Look for these releases in the next few weeks.
This week, we’re launching another Dream Big resource—our FREE Dream Big online course. Our team has pulled from our books, videos and audios to organize a course that both you and your team can use to intentionally wrestle through what it looks like to pursue multiplication for your church. If you’re just jumping into the multiplication conversation or wanting to dive deeper in, the Dream Big course is an excellent tool for wherever you are and wherever you want to go.
Finally, I’m thrilled to announce the addition of another regional event in the San Francisco Bay Area. This brings us to a total of six live events, including national events in Orlando and Los Angeles, and regional events in Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, and the Bay Area. The national events bring the full three-day punch of main stage sessions and breakout workshops while the regionals are a condensed version of the national events without the breakout workshops.
We’re passionate about our “4 to 10” mission. We have a burden to see the percentage of U.S. churches that ever reproduce increase from less than 4 percent to a tipping point of greater than 10 percent. We continually ask, “How can we help resource churches to enlarge their vision for multiplication?” Moving the needle will take a groundswell of next-generation leaders like you who will commit to thinking and acting differently.
