Future Characteristics of the Church Episode 3

It’s hard to imagine a future in North America where the gospel is accessible to every man, woman, boy and girl through the missional means that we are currently deploy. If a New Testament-like movemental model is to be experienced, it will require a New Testament-like mission force. And that mission force isn’t the one that we are currently building.
The movement that we urgently need requires a level of reproducibility that is outstrips our best funding strategies, and a level of cultural engagement that outperforms our current credibility problems. A future that sees gospel proximity as its goal requires a radically different mission force.
In this week’s conversation, Jeff Christopherson and Jessie Cruickshank will be speaking with Hugh Halter and Brad Brisco on what that mission force looks like. We will answer questions like:

Why does Co-Vocationalism need to become normalized in our church planting cultures?
What is the difference between Bi-Vocational and Co-Vocational Leader?
Why are Co-Vocational teams so powerful?
What are the rhythms of healthy Co-Vocational leaders?

To get a picture of what a Co-Vocational movement might look like, check out Jeff Christopherson’s Venal Dogmata: A Parable of the Future Church.
