Project: HowToLife Movement
Leader: Jordan Whitmer
Mission statement: Reaching, discipling, and mobilizing Generation Z for Christ across the U.S. and the world.
Seven years ago, when I was a junior in high school, God put it on my heart to do something more to reach my generation for Christ, so I mobilized a completely youth-led event to reach my community for Christ called HowToLife, with 750 young people attending, and 75 making commitments to Christ. Following the tremendous success of this event, HowToLife Movement® has facilitated over 122 events in 25 states and six countries around the world. Today, HowToLife Movement mobilizes some of the sharpest Gen Z leaders and influencers in North America and Europe, hosting youth-led outreach events, leadership retreats, online conferences, and digital media content to impact countless Gen Z young people around the world with the Gospel.
Generation Z young people, high school and college age students, across America and internationally are the mission field and context that we work with. We work to reach young people for Christ, disciple growing Gen Z Christians, and mobilizing young leaders for ministry.
HowToLife has hosted 122 completely Gen Z led (primarily by high school students) evangelism and discipleship events across 25 U.S. states from coast to coast and six countries around the world, reaching over 20,000 students with the Gospel with over 2,000 making a faith commitment to Jesus Christ. In addition to these outreach events, HowToLife has hosted strategic leadership training and equipping retreats for Gen Z leaders, seeking to connect and bring together some of the most influential Christian young leaders of America and the world. The HowToLife Movement® also has created much evangelism and discipleship Gen Z digital content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and online, with millions of views. This includes the recent HowToLife Canada online conference, as well as the international “Z Conference”, a life-changing digital conference by Gen Z leaders and influencers to reach Gen Z across America and the world, attended by youth from 47 states, 40 countries, and six continents.
