Sam Abraham
Lead Pastor, Inspire Wesleyan Church

Hello,
This is Sam Abraham. I am a Church Planter from Rochester, NY. I have been involved in Church planting and discipleship in India for the last 25 years. We have witnessed an amazing move of God saving lives in the most unreached and persecuted regions. The house Church movement has been rapidly growing like a wildfire in India. How ever, we had to pay a heavy price, gone through severe persecution at numerous times. But nothing could stop us from obeying the call of God to serve and lead others to Him. I am humbled to be part of the Wesleyan Church here in the Penn York district and currently in the pre launching phase of planting a multiethnic Church in the city of Rochester, NY. I am married and blessed with three children. Its an honor to be part of the Church multiplication Cohort.

Shawn Behan
PhD Candidate, Asbury Theological Seminary

My name is Shawn and I am a PhD candidate at Asbury Theological Seminary. Church planting has been in my heart for years since my days working at Catalyst when a church planter reached out to me about helping him with a bible study he was starting. Since then, I've been a volunteer leader in church plants at various stages while working in retail and the non-profit world. In this whole process, I have learned that being a full-time pastor is not for me, but being a high-capacity volunteer or part-time pastor is. When I followed God's call to return to school, pursue my doctorate, and teach I knew that part of this calling would be working with and helping train future church planters. Now, along with researching on the topic, I have also gotten to help teach a few classes on church planting, as well as functioning as a sounding board for students and recent graduates who are venturing into this ministry. I look forward to fellowshipping with you all on this journey that God has us on together, which I am confident will both deepen our own discipleship and enable us to lead others into deeper discipleship.

Furthermore, not only among Filipinos but also with other groups.

Danny Henderson
Lead Pastor, City Hills Church

I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana for most of my life. I have been involved in ministry for over 15 years and have served on staff as Children’s Pastor, Worship Pastor, Communications Director, at 2 large churches in Georgia and San Diego. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Brooklyn and Audrey, who are full of life, compassion and laughter. After coming to serve on staff in San Diego, we knew our hearts were deeply connected to Southern California. As we stood on top of Mount Soledad and looked over the city, we felt an overwhelming passion for reaching the 94% of people who were unchurched in this city. The opportunity of relaunching/planting a church in Santee was presented in the Fall of 2018.

I graduated from Lee University with a degree in Christian Leadership and continually study leadership. I loves movies, NFL Football, surfing and golfing. We are passionate about people discovering their purpose and helping them take small steps daily to become the best version of themselves with Jesus at the center of their lives.

Trent Hopper
Church Planter in training & Full Time Student, Foothill Church & Gateway Seminary

I worked as a full-time Youth Pastor on the East Coast (NC) for 15 years until being called to plant churches in the Bay Area. Currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Gateway Theological Seminary in Ontario, California. Upon completion, my wife & I intend to follow God's leading to Alameda/Oakland/SF to start planting a network of house churches.

Growing up in a megachurch in the Bible belt, then serving in a significantly smaller church really allowed me to see, learn and understand a variety of different ways that the "typical" church is run. While this model may be successful in some contexts I do not believe it is the only effective way. I desire to see the church take on new forms to fit every context as biblically as possible.
