Be encouraged with discussions geared toward marriage boundaries, family, priorities, and the impact of ministry on the personal front.
Session 1: Planting, Pastoring, and Prioritizing — How Two Families Manage Life in Church Planting
Whether it’s pastoring or co-pastoring, working on staff together, bi-vocational ministry, or working at home or in the marketplace, church planting families manage several different responsibilities in any given season of ministry! A healthy marriage must be an intentional priority. If we are not careful, we can allow our schedules and responsibilities to run our lives as we work and live together. In this session, you’ll hear from two couples who will be sharing real-life examples and practices that have helped them to care for their marriages and churches with intention and grace.
Speakers: Autumn Katz, Jeremy Brown, and Shelia Brown
Session 2: How to Build Your Church And Not Shipwreck Your Marriage
Join Geoff and Sherry (who have over 37 years of marriage-in-ministry experience) in an honest conversation about building a foundation of intimacy with your spouse in the midst of crazy-busy ministry. We’ll also share some great things you can do to help your ministry teams have great families as well.
Speakers: Geoff Surratt and Sherry Surratt
Session 3: Married Life: The Most Powerful Collaboration That Exists Among People
There are two defining moments that set us on our paths for the rest of our lives, the moment we say I DO to God and his plan for our life and the moment we say I DO to a person we will spend that life with. Navigating walking out these two defining moments is one of challenge, great joy, and constant growth. In this workshop, we will share some practical but incredibly useful tools and practices that we have learned from 20 years of marriage and vocational ministry together.
Speakers: Ben Williams and Carrie Williams
Session 4: Raising Healthy Kids Through the Different Seasons of Life and Ministry
Your kids will go through unique challenges and different seasons in ministry. It is important that we help our kids navigate and thrive through these seasons. Join Brian and Amy Bloye as they share honest practical truths.
Speakers: Brian Bloye and Amy Bloye
