Contemplating suicide one night in 1974, Aaron’s life was transformed by a friend’s invitation to God. Being an “all in” type of person, he jumped into Christianity with both feet, witnessing to friends and attending church and Bible studies at least five days a week. Eventually he teamed with Ralph Moore and moved to Hawaii to start Hope Chapel Kaneohe (per God’s vision). There, Ralph was the big-picture, church-planting, teaching pastor and Aaron was the administrative, one-on-one, “let’s have lunch” side of the ministry. The two referred to themselves as “Sundance and Butch” or The Blues Brothers (“on a mission for God”). Now retired from formal ministry, Aaron continues to minister one-on-one to the folks God brings his way. He and his wife of 47 years live in Hawaii along with their children and their three brilliant and talented grandchildren.
