Dr. Dominick S. Hernández is an Associate Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, where he also directs Talbot en Español. He earned his Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Bar-Ilan University (Ramat Gan, Israel). An ordained pastor, Hernández has served in English-, Spanish-, and Hebrew-language ministries across the globe and teaches on biblical wisdom, ancient Near Eastern literature, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. He is the author of several books, including Proverbs: Pathways to Wisdom and Engaging the Old Testament: How to Read Biblical Narrative, Poetry, and Prophecy Well, with forthcoming commentaries on Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah (Cascade), Song of Songs (Eerdmans), and Deuteronomy (Baker Academic).
