Lumar is a Managing Director of Leadership & Development for TFA, an organization developing leaders in education. She has served in various roles in ministry, most recently as a church planter. In 2023, Lumar earned a Ph.D. in Urban Education with a focus on Transformational Leadership and studied Latina/o pastors and their roles as transformational leaders and agents of social and economic advancement. Lumar enjoys deep conversations, retreats in the mountains, and preaching in heels. She and her husband, Emanuel, recently became parents and are enamored by their baby Ezra.
