Matthew Oh (@matthewyoh) is the CEO & Founder of FOREFRONT Charity. He first went to India in 2012 through a church mission trip. After several years of returning back to India, he realized not only can he use his engineering background to help provide clean water, but also envisioned all generations using their talent and skills to serve those in need in any capacity. Ultimately, through meeting the needs of others, the goal is to build relationships and share the gospel to the unreached.
He then founded FOREFRONT Charity, a 501(c)(3), in May 2015 aimed to enable every person, equip leaders, and establish self-sustaining communities. To date, FOREFRONT Charity has impacted more than 95,000 people through clean water, quality education, medical access, and empowerment opportunities. Matt recently went on a field visit where the team visited FOREFRONT Elementary School, which opened during the pandemic and now has 225 students from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. Additionally, FOREFRONT Charity supports local ministries in India serving 35+ pastors and 30+ churches with five of them being new church plants through FOREFRONT’s efforts.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University. FOREFRONT Charity was recognized as Forbes Next 1000 in 2021. You can follow FOREFRONT Charity at @goforefront on social media or visit www.goforefront.org.
