Vanessa Cruz is the Director of Church Leadership at the Urban Youth Workers Institute (UYWI), where she develops and equips high-capacity urban leaders within their local church and context. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Long Beach, and a B.A. from Biola University. With 12+ years of experience serving foster and at-risk youth through community-based organizations and the local church, Vanessa’s work is both her profession and her calling. She is the pastoral team leader at Revive Church in Long Beach and El Monte, CA. Vanessa is an advocate for the next generation — committed to seeing young people, young adults, and youth workers step boldly into the fullness of who God created them to be. Fun Fact: Vanessa will take ANY opportunity to see the world. She loves to travel and eat good food with close friends and her family.
