Empowered: Moving with The Spirit
The single command that Jesus gave his followers before igniting a movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised…” He was telling them to wait for and then move with the Spirit. In 2022, we’ll discover a growing awareness of the Spirit’s work and leadership while also realizing that we will always be more effective if we move with the Holy Spirit.

Darren is the Lead Pastor of Garden Church, a community in the heart of one of the most diverse cities in the US. Darren’s passion and vision are to make resilient disciples who are formed in the way of Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a naturally supernatural lifestyle.
Andy Wood is the new second-generation Lead Pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA, one of American’s largest and best-known churches founded by Pastor Rick and Kay Warren.
Andy has a heart for developing leaders and church planters, teaching God’s Word in relevant ways, and creating environments where those far from God come to know Him personally.
For 14 years, Andy was the Founding and Lead Pastor of Echo.Church, a multi-site church of 3,000 people based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2008, after receiving a master’s degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary, he and his family, along with 3 other families, moved cross-country to start Echo.Church - with a mission to urgently lead people to say yes to Jesus and passionately follow Him.
Andy and his wife Stacie said yes to Jesus and a new call to love Saddleback Church. They moved their family from the Bay area and now live in Orange County, California, with their three children, and beloved dog Mercy.
Will Chung and his wife Andrea are the founding and lead pastors of Beloved Church in Buena Park, California. They also have three beautiful children, Karis, Kairos and Zoey. Originally from England, in 2007 the Absaloms were called as a family of missionaries to the US. Today they live in Long Beach CA, and have 3 cheeky but charming young adult sons, and welcomed their first daughter-in-law this summer!
Matt, along with his wife Kristen and their 5 kids—Andrew, Jeremy, Tyler, Lily and Rose—lead Anthem Church in Thousand Oaks, California. Along with a few friends, they planted the church in the fall of 2009 and over the years have seen the joy of sending out church planters and leaders to continue to carry the gospel into this big and beautiful world. In addition to leading Anthem Thousand Oaks and the Anthem family of churches here at home, Matt and Kristen serve on the leadership team of the Genesis Collective which is committed to raising up leaders and planting churches into the nations. Whether it’s at home or somewhere else in the world, Matt loves serving alongside leaders to help equip people to carry the gospel message. If he could tell you anything it would be that God is SO big, His good news is SO good, His world is SO beautiful, His Spirit is SO powerful and His people are SO worth it…so do not miss out on the adventure of following Jesus! (And yes, he is an optimist.)

Innovation in Ministry: Reach and Equip More People for Christ – Hosted by He Gets Us & Gloo
Leveraging platform principles to help churches do the FIVE things they must do to thrive!
Thriving churches must:
- Attract people–make people in the community aware that you exist
- Get people in the door to an event or service for the first time
- Keep people–consistently engage congregants to close the back door
- Grow disciples
- Multiply leaders
Over the past 10+ years Gloo has been helping churches discover how well architected platforms can help them do these FIVE things better than ever. This seminar introduces you to the basics of becoming a platform architect, a data informed ministry leader, and how to participate in campaigns like He Gets Us to reach people in your city. You don’t want to miss this conversation.

Digital Discipleship: Equipping Families, Resourcing Groups & Developing Leaders – Hosted by RightNow Media
As a pastor, do you feel overwhelmed because you only have so much time to help those in your church? Or do you feel like you’re losing your people to the culture and want to find ways to help each person individually with resources that meet them where they are in their faith? In today’s world, the church has a limited amount of time to (hopefully) make a life-changing impact to each person on Sunday—but what if there was an option to find more time to do the ministry you were called to AND provide personalized resources for every person in your congregation to help equip and disciple them beyond Sunday?
We want to show you how you can use digital discipleship tools to equip families, resource small groups, and develop leaders and volunteers. Join us for this Equipping Lab to see digital discipleship in action and get your questions answered about how to equip everyone in your church every day of the week.
