Brian Bloye – In 1997, Brian Bloye and his wife, Amy, started West Ridge Church in northwest Atlanta. He is passionate about starting new churches and investing in the lives of church planters and pastors. Since 1998, West Ridge Church has helped to plant over 170 churches in the US and many more churches internationally. Brian and Amy are co-authors of It’s Personal: Surviving and Thriving on the Journey of Church Planting. He is the president and co-founder of Engage Burkina, an organization devoted to planting churches, providing clean water, improving education, and helping the physically disabled in Burkina Faso, Africa. In 2015, Brian and Amy started Engage Churches to encourage, equip and connect church planting couples. He loves spending time with Amy, his two sons, Taylor and Zach and his English Lab, Gibson. He also enjoys running, paddle boarding, and baseball.
Teddi Sylvia planted Church at The Springs with her husband, Ron, and has served in almost every capacity, from the Children’s Ministry Director to Communications Director to, presently, the leader of the Women’s Ministry. Recognizing that the spouse of a church planter is an integral part of a healthy church, she has spoken with Ron at numerous church planting conferences.
Believing community and discipleship are key to growing Christ-followers, Teddi focuses on helping women connect with God and others in authentic ways, both at The Springs and in the worldwide community of church planter families.
Teddi loves being with her husband and three sons and their wives, Jared and Cassie, Jacob and Annita, and Luke and Lauren. She is irrationally in love with her four preschool grandchildren, Lennon and Amelia and Roarke and Von.
Autumn Katz – As CEO of Women Speakers Collective, Divisional Director at Stonecroft and Church Planter/Co-Lead Pastor of Anthem Church in Long Beach, Autumn believes that there is no greater joy than seeing others inspired to live a big life full of purpose and passion. She is passionate about the topics of Leadership, Family and Marriage, Church Planting, Empowerment of Women, and Disciple Making in your local context.
In addition to raising four kids and church planting/pastoring with her husband Daniel Katz, Autumn held the title of Mrs. Long Beach and became a community activist to see women empowered locally and nationally. She has joined her efforts with Danielle Strickland as a speaker and the CEO of Women Speakers Collective — an organization designed to help aspiring speakers develop their voice and provide them with the opportunity to speak.
As a singer-songwriter, Autumn released her first single “Sound of Rain” in 2016. She has led worship in stadium gatherings all across the nation.
Larry Walkemeyer serves as the Lead Pastor of Light & Life Christian Fellowship in Long Beach, CA. Starting with a handful of committed “white folks,” the church has grown into a large multi-ethnic church transforming its tough urban neighborhood. A priority on local and global church planting has led to the start of 19 churches nationally and dozens in Ethiopia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Larry also oversees the church planting efforts of his denomination in Southern California where they are planting 50 new churches in 5 years. Holding a doctorate in church leadership and as the author of six books, Larry speaks and consults frequently. Azusa Pacific University has recognized Larry with the Centennial Award naming him one of the most influential graduates in its history. Larry serves on the Board of Trustees for Azusa Pacific University.
Larry and Dr. Deb Walkemeyer have been married for 38 years. They have two adult daughters. Larry enjoys snow skiing, waterskiing, biking, traveling, mission trips with 20-somethings and long walks on the beach.
Sherry Surratt is the Director of Family Strategy for The Rethink Group, based in Atlanta. Sherry recently joined Rethink after serving as CEO of MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers). Sherry also served as Director of Innovation Labs at Leadership Network and as a staff pastor at Seacoast Church in Charleston, SC. She is the proud mom of two brilliant children, Michael and Brittainy and a proud Mimi of Maggie, Mollie and Mason. She resides in Parker, CO with her husband Geoff. Sherry is the author of four books, with her newest book Together: A Guide for Couples Doing Ministry Together, co-authored with her husband Geoff.
Deb Walkemeyer serves as Co-Pastor of Light & Life Christian Fellowship in Long Beach, CA – a large multi-ethnic urban church that has focused on planting churches locally and globally. She also leads the Light & Life Community Center that is assisting in transforming the neighborhood through various initiatives. As a Master Gardener she pioneered the first Community Garden in Compton, CA where she grows vegetables alongside gang members and prostitutes.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Deb has helped many individuals and couples in ministry. She also serves as a regional leader within her denomination. Deb holds a Doctorate in Church Leadership from Fuller Seminary and was recently recognized as one of their outstanding graduates for her years of leadership work in diverse arenas.
