The Role of Personal Calling in Mobilizing Your Church

Vision strategist Will Mancini helps us identify our unique identity and how that plays out in community with others

December 2, 2016

As a pastor turned vision coach, Will Mancini has worked with an unprecedented variety of churches from growing megachurches and missional communities to mainline revitalization and church plants. He is the founder of Auxano, creator of VisionRoom.com, and the author of God Dreams and Church Unique. Mancini is passionate about personal calling and mobilizing the Church, explaining that, when it comes to calling, “clarity isn’t everything, but it changes everything,”

Each of us is made to be unique but not independent, says Will Mancini in this podcast from Exponential West 2016. By linking the journey of personal calling to the greater missional movement of our community, Mancini helps us think through how becoming “me” might also help our community become a better “we.”

Key Takeaways:

  • What it looks like to reframe the practice of discipleship
  • The difference between general and specific calling
  • Why personal calling is a mobilization catalyst
  • How churches can become incubators of personal calling

Will Mancini is a frequent speaker at Exponential conferences and will be with us again speaking on calling with the Younique team in the Personal Calling track at Exponential East 2017.
